You know the score by now, I love to make something quick and easy- a lazy bake! The more chocolatey the better in my eyes!!
I saw this delish recipe on one of those Facebook posts that stops you mid scroll, leaving you drooling and tagging your friends in the hope that someone will make it for you! No one has made it for me (tut tut) so I thought why not grab all the bits and make it myself plusss this is a perfect naughty treat to enjoy over the festive season with friends.
Following on from my ‘lazy girl bakes’ posts, I decided to make some yummy rice crispy treats for the girls to munch on in the Treehouse! Another super easy recipe and actually this method has less sugar than many of the others out there!
4 Tablespoons of butter
8 Cups of mini marshmallows
1 Teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 Tablespoon of milk
6 Cups of rice crispie cereal
Dash of maple syrup
2 tubes of Smarties
*Slowly melt the butter in a large pan on a low heat
*Once the butter is melted, add vanilla and 6 cups of marshmallows and dash of syrup – melt it all slowly
*Before the marshmallows are fully melted, add the milk and the remaining 2 cups of marshmallows (don’t let them melt completely, you want some gooey lumps)
*Add in the rice crispies and smarties – stir until its all coated
*Pop into a greased dish and spread out, leave to cool before cutting and demolishing!
Enjoy, Love Harriet x
