I literally think this make up & hair care haul is my first proper one of the year! I don’t know how I have got away with just the quick purchase here and there but I was getting twitchy and I needed to have a good ol browse to get it out of my system!
I knew I wanted to pick up some deep hair conditioners as this summer hair is majorly drying up and in need of some TLC, so this aisle was my first port of call.
Garniers Ultimate Blend 1 minute conditioner– The Glow Replenisher, filled with argan and camellia oil, this tube promises great nourishment! I smothered this on my damaged ends and left it in for about 3 minutes. The smell is truly amazing and once rinsed, my hair was super soft and looked healthier already! Defiantly a hair care staple for me now!
Because one hair treatment isn’t enough right? I picked up a travel size Aussie 3 minute miracle reconstruct deep conditioning treatment– this cult classic is a fav amongst practically everyone I know and it always leaves your hair feeling a little more restored, that familiar smell of Australian balm mint somehow relaxes me too which is always needed! Perfectly sized to pop in my gym bag.
Another great find to add to the haul, were these fab snag-free hair bobbles, these are great for not pulling your hair too tightly and also they don’t create kinks… I’m already a convert! Although when wearing these on my wrist, everyone seems confused and thinks its my new choice of accessory??
Maybelline were doing a 3 for 2 offer and I had previously spotted their new Vivid Matte liquid lip colour – I picked up number 20 Coral Courage, a bright pink summer shade perfect for day to night. This really is vivid but in a nice way, application was easy and the colour really stayed on for a long time, even through eating and drink; so I am impressed! I just wished there were a few more colours to choose from, perhaps that’s in the pipeline?!
Next I picked up Maybelline Master Contour, a coutour and highlighter 2 in 1. I picked this up mostly because it looked fun and it is! I loved the novelty of drawing this on my face and it glided on smoothly with a light creamy texture. Blending was really easy however, the pigment isn’t strong enough to make a difference and I feel it rubbed off really easily. I think for the serious contour girls this isn’t for you, more a starter if you just want a bit of fun!
Matte Ink liquid eye liner was my 3rd purchase from Maybelline and I was sceptical because for years I’ve been using Bourjois liquid liner butttt I can confirm I love this new one!! Charcoal black was my choice of colour, surprisingly there were quite a few choices of black… The short applicator with it’s thin tapered end made applying a smooth line really easy, plus…. it was exactly the right thickness that I wanted to achieve! Full marks for this little beauty!
Lastly just for fun, I picked up a pot of Rimmel glitter bomb nail polish in Disco Diva. This gorgeous glitz will1 add a sparkly top coat to any shade and lets face it, I’m a magpie for anything sparkly (Yes Grandma I take after you!)
Now that I’ve been bitten by the Make up/ Hair care haul again, I feel myself already planning my next purchases…Do you have any new favourites I should look at?
