My ‘go-to’ Make Up Items…..

My ‘go-to’ Make Up Items…..

Trawling through my make-up draw the other day, I noticed how many products I actually have but hardly ever touch, I know I am not alone when I say I am a creature of make up habit and should venture out of my comfort zone a little more, explore the counters and shelves once again! After saying all the previous…there is something amazing when you do find those holy grail products you cant live without , those trusty little ‘go-to’ that will not let you down and find yourself on repeat purchase!

I have gathered my favourite items to show you, these are more make up related however my previous post, details my fav skin care.

I’d love to know what your favourites are and why you love them so much?..

Garnier Micellar Cleanisng water– I have been using this for about a year and find it so gentle on my skin whilst completely removing any trace of make up. Garnier state that the magnetic agents capture and lift dirt away (sounds cool) This hypoallergenic cleanser doesn’t even need you to rinse with water after which is great if your feeling extra lazy!

Real Techniques Foundation Brush and Miracle Complexion Sponge – I absolutely adore both of these items, there is no doubt in my mind that they perfect the application of foundation and help to create an even base, no matter what type/ brand of foundation is on the brush or sponge.

Real Techniques is a company I love and particularly as Sam Chapman knows what shes doing when it comes to creating these fab tools, being a make up artist for so many years she has the experience and knowledge!

Estee Lauder Double Wear – This has been my key foundation for about 2 years, I was a MAC girl throughout my late teens and early twenties but I felt like after a while, I didn’t love how it sat on my skin and the coverage didn’t last (I know the Mac addicts would be up in arms!) Double Wear really does what it says on the bottle and stays alllll day plus although its great coverage, it doesn’t feel heavy or give me that ‘caked’ feeling.

Benefit Hula Bronzer– A cult bronzing classic, a little of this dust provides an amazing  sun kissed tan, without a hint of orange! Great for contouring with its handy little soft bristle brush. This is a product I carry with me everywhere!

Urban Decay All night Setting Spray– Wow wow wow, although this features here in my ‘go-to’ list, I don’t use this everyday but more for a special occasion or days when I really need my make up lasting. You only need a tiny spray  to set your face therefore a tube lasts for EVER! I highly recommend, especially if you feel like you are constantly topping your make up during a night out or if you are doing your own wedding/ event make up plusss it has temperature control and is paraben/ oil free.

WF In The Nude, eye shadow palette- I got given this gorgeous palette for my birthday, a spoof of the Urban Decay Naked range but don’t be deceived… the variety of colours and staying power of the powder rivals its more expensive friend. Its so handy to have all the colours i’d opt for in one handy slim line case.

I personally love lipstick, any shade, any texture…A lipstick can make you feel fancy even if of the inside your too tired to function! A bright slick of colour completes the look and I defiantly think as much of a day item as an evening option. I have tons of shades but I am yet to find my ultimate perfect lipstick, a challenge I will happily undertake!

The shades featured above  left to right; Topshop inhibition, Bobbi Brown Cosmic Raspberry and Rimmel Sweetie

Estee Lauder double wear is absolutely amazing, such great coverage! I’ve also heard a lot of great things about micellar water and I can’t wait to try it out!
