Happy New Year!….

Wow its crazy to be writting this on another New Years eve!

2017 has been a year filled with fits of laughter, plenty of fun, a good few learning curves and also new discoveries! Another year to cement amazing friendships, the year my gang of 8 started to turn the BIG 3-0 and my little man turned 2!

We were lucky enough to attend 3 truly beautiful weddings, each different but each equally stunning! Welcomed new humans into the world, stepped foot onto my favourite cornish beaches and just generally had a blast!

I thought I would just post a handful of 2017 highlights……Happy new year,I wish you the best 2018, full of health and happiness

Dressing up for Christmas day?…

Ever since I was a child, one of my favourite Christmas traditions is picking something nice to wear for the big day..my 7 year old self would excitedly pick a dress with some sort of velvet and sparkle, feeling a million dollars rocking up to grandmas to see what my cousins would be dressed smartly in.

That feeling has never left me although, dont get me wrong I am not talking full gown but if I wear jeans and a top, I try make sure I feel great in it and its not just one of my normal ‘go to’ ‘running around the house’ outfits. It goes for Sonny too, I like him to have something new on, smart yet comfortable enough to play in and yes it may only stay clean until 8am but its just a nice feeling to have your best attire on.

Luckily when I met Ian, I realised he shared a love of Christmas and followed traditions similarly which was a massive bonus point, I mean I couldn’t be with someone who didn’t get excited when the Coca cola advert popped on our screens. Its funny listening to other peoples take on traditions, its made me think…Why do we get all dressed up to simply sit in the house all day and eat delicious food?  Joey had the right idea with his ‘eating pants’ in the thanksgiving episode in Friends, much more comfortable clothing with expanding waist lines for the bottomless pit of Quality Street.

I’ve heard of some families wearing Pyjamas all day and if they are smart ones, you know festive Joules then I can totally see the appeal to that! One day I may go down that route but this year I will stick to what I know best and find something with some sparkle or christmas theme!

What do you all do?
